Task
On behalf of the Thuringian city of Mühlhausen, yverkehrsplanung GmbH has designed and developed a multimodal transport model.
Work steps
The following steps were carried out
- Traffic district classification,
- Structural data preparation,
- Transport demand modeling,
- Implementation of supra-regional traffic flows
- Valorization and calibration of the model,
- Development and evaluation of plan cases for traffic organization and impact assessment.
Results
As a result of the study, a preferred solution for inner city development was developed.
The traffic model also forms the basis for the studies on the cycling network: Due to the multimodal character of the transport demand model, reliable information is available on the source-destination relations of bicycle traffic.
