Task
In Eastern Thuringia, the construction of roadside cycle paths along a large number of state roads is to be evaluated in planning terms. The evaluation focuses on aspects of road safety and potential demand.
Work steps
The following steps were implemented:
- small-scale structural data analysis,
- Inspection of the routes and photo documentation,
- Assessment of road safety,
- Model-based traffic demand estimation on the basis of structural and network data.
Results
As part of the results of the investigation, a priority ranking was drawn up.
